Senior Water Quality Scientist

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Water Quality Scientist to join our clients team in Yorkshire to deliver and manage the technical aspects of a range of regulatory focussed projects - including (where relevant to experience) wastewater treatment troubleshooting, water quality impact assessment, aquatic biology interpretation and reporting, other areas of responsibility include the delivery and technical management of habitat design/restoration projects (ponds, wetlands, watercourses), be an expert Witness on behalf of clients and prepare technical reports.
You will mentor the less experienced members of the team and ensure completion of Water Resources/Water Quality impact assessments as part of larger Environmental Statements as well as liasing with Environment Agency and Local Planning Authority to ensure clients needs are met.
About You
We are looking for a chartered candidate with expert knowledge/understanding of wastewater treatment (in particular, biological processes); habitat design; understanding/interpretation of water chemistry results (and design of sampling regimes); water resources/quality impact assessment. Water quality modelling and/or aquatic biology experience would be desirable and you must have the ability to write technical reports as well as having a high level of technical understanding and ability and project management experience
