- Description
- Due to extensive growth and a sudden increase in workload, my client is currently looking to expand their project delivery team with a Project Engineer on a permanent basis.
This is the perfect opportunity for someone who is looking to work for a well-established design and build contractor and be part of new and exciting clean & waste water project on the Thames Water framework.
What is involved? (A more detail job description is able to be supplied on request)- Project liaison from enquiry stage to final acceptance and documentation, meeting with Clients as required to discuss specific requirements and carry out site surveys as required.
- Instructing, directing, controlling and allocating work to Trade Operatives & Apprentices, with attention to quality, productivity and safety.
- Preparing all required documentation & ensuring this is kept up to date, filed correctly and available for inspection.
- Effective communication of technical issues between project management, designers, consultants, and other functions/support services within the project team
- Manage the design of systems and products, ensuring alignment with design specifications and technical aspects.
- Research suitable solutions and provide Technical input where required, covering all activities including services, products, subcontractors, estimating costs and timescales.
- Application of engineering principles in the preparation of calculations/drawings/sketches and resolution of engineering challenges within specialist area of knowledge.
What are we looking at from you?
- Qualification to degree/ HND/ HNC in Engineering or equivalent.
- Candidates ideally should be from a Mechanical background but an electrical bias can also be considered
- Proven track record in an Engineering or Supervisory role with project management capability.
- Good technical background with good knowledge of own specialist discipline and knowledge of other engineering and trade disciplines.
- Current CSCS card to at least Engineer or Manager status.
- Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
- Ability to work alone, or as part of a team and supervise/ lead a team.
- Knowledge of the tools, equipment, and materials common to all engineering trades, particularly Mechanical, Electrical and Civil Engineering.
