Description
Our client, a leading design and build contractor in the water industry, is looking for an Early Careers Coordinator, to join the team responsible for developing their Collaborative Skills pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship programme working in collaboration with designated colleges within the Anglian Water region.

The principal objective of this role is to provide a collaborative approach to meeting future workforce skills by integrating sponsored academic courses at local colleges and developing broad workplace programmes. These programmes will be a key enabler to delivering productivity and efficiency improvement across the organisation, bringing new talent into the business.

Key responsibilities:
  • Coordinating the skills development programme in partnership with designated colleges, supporting the business priorities.
  • Integrating sponsorship programmes that provide academic knowledge with workplace apprentices in a model that spans all joint venture parties and strategic supply chain framework. Integrate appropriate qualification structure.
  • Develop key stakeholder relationships with local schools, businesses, and councils to promote the programmes to our target market.
  • Working with our partners, develop pathways into our organisations through traineeships, apprenticeships, degree apprenticeships and other new initiatives.
  • Identify and analyse the business’ current and future skills requirements and develop sponsored courses that are pathways into our partner organisations.
  • Working collaboratively with the colleges, lead partners and Anglian Water to develop a marketing and recruitment plan
  • Recruitment of 20 students every academic year for each sponsored course created and support those students throughout their studies
  • Fully understand the apprenticeship levy and how we can best utilise the partners levy pots
  •
Your skills and experience

To join them in this fantastic forward-thinking opportunity, you’ll have experience of project management and have a passion for developing individuals to add value to organisations. Whilst experience of working within the Utilities or Construction industries alongside current knowledge and experience of the apprenticeship process and funding, more important is your approach and enthusiasm to the role.

Operating as a flexible and proactive team member, you’ll combine your project management skills with stakeholder management skills to drive projects and new ideas forward. Able to communicate and adapt your communication style to a wide range of audiences, you’ll have a track record of working to strict deadlines whilst judging conflicting priorities.

If you have a passion for developing skill sets and seeing them flourish in organisations, please apply today or call 01959 562572 for more information.
