Lead Document Controller

Our client, an energy solutions company, is looking to strengthen their team with a Lead Document Controller to support the management of all their projects. 

The purpose of the role will be to ensure accurate registration, storage of drawings, documentation and specifications and to liaise with site and project-based staff, customers and external suppliers as appropriate.

 As Lead Document Controller your main responsibilities are as follows: -
  • Support the management of document control for all KEW Technology Projects to ensure implementation and compliance to KEW standards
  • Support the delivery of the contractual requirements in relation to Document control across the sites and core activities
  • Ensure accurate control of documentation from design, preconstruction/ construction through to completion
  • Liaise with project or bid teams to ensure they have a full understanding of document control and system
  • procedures and provide training and instruction as required such that documentation control requirements are met
  • Provide feedback such that project managers are fully aware of all documentation issues
  • Ensure that procedures are fully implemented to meet requirements of the EDMS and other documentation and information systems
  • Manage business archiving such that all documentation is stored efficiently and can be accessed and referenced at all times
  • Support continuously improve and enhance procedures and systems utilised for document control
  • Understand and carry out the role specific requirements of the EDMS and help to identify opportunities for improvement
 
The following qualities and experience are essential:

• 12+ years’ experience
• Existing working experience of SharePoint
• Experience in the role out of new BMS systems (e.g., 4projects, Aconex, Proarc, Procore)
• An ability to understand how the operations of the Team relate to others and work collaboratively to obtain the best outcome for the business
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Able to work autonomously
• Flexible to meet the demands of the role
• Determination to see tasks through to completion, with excellent planning and organisational skills
