An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a leading contractor in the water sector.
This is a permanent position based in Derby, offering hybrid working and real potential for career progression.

You'll report to the Managing QS and either take financial responsibility for smaller projects or manage key accounts on a major scheme.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparing applications, valuations, and cost-value reconciliations
• Cost control, forecasting, and monthly reporting (value, cost, profit/loss, cash flow)
• Managing supply chain and subcontractor packages
• Supporting risk and value management processes
• Contract administration (NEC knowledge is a bonus)
• Ensuring all project documentation is up to date
• Liaising with site teams, clients, and subcontractors
• Providing contractual advice to the project team
• Highlighting and escalating any safety-related risks

✅ Requirements:

Essential:

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar
• ARICS or currently working towards APC
• Main contractor experience

Desirable:

• Experience in the water industry
• Strong understanding of NEC contracts
