Job Title: Senior Structural Engineer

Salary: £48k – £55k

Location: City Of Bristol (BS1)

We’re working with a highly respected name in structural engineering, and they’re currently looking for a Senior Structural Engineer to join their growing Bristol office.

Their projects span a diverse range of sectors including commercial, residential, healthcare, and education. This is a fantastic opportunity for a Structural Engineer who’s looking to develop within a collaborative, ambitious team that places strong emphasis on creativity, precision, and career progression.

About the Role

This position is ideal for someone who’s confident in leading structural design work and is ready to take more ownership over project direction and client engagement. You’ll be joining a supportive and forward-thinking team, working closely with architects, clients, and contractors to deliver high-quality, sustainable structures across the South West and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead structural design on a range of building projects using concrete, steel, timber, and masonry.
• Manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring technical excellence and client satisfaction.
• Liaise closely with architects, contractors, and design team members to achieve cohesive, buildable solutions.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers.
• Represent the business in meetings, workshops, and site inspections.
• Drive innovation and sustainability in the structural design process.

Required Skills & Experience

• Degree-qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Chartered or near-chartered (MICE or MIStructE).
• Significant UK experience in the structural design of buildings across various sectors.
• Strong proficiency in design and analysis software such as Tekla, Revit, ETABS, or similar.
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
