- Description
- A successful design and build contractor are currently looking to recruit a Commissioning Manager to join their team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to join onto a Waste Water project in Jersey.
Our client can consider candidates on a long term contract or permanent staff basis.
What is involved in the role?- Produce commissioning plans and procedures in line with the client’s specification and output requirements,
- Interact and negotiate with clients on commissioning goals and guidelines.
- Assist and guide project staff in outlining commission responsibilities.
- Oversee order and procurement of the required systems paraphernalia.
- Collaborate with clients and staff to deliver contracts within specified guidelines.
- Contribute views on designs, constructions, proposals during management meetings.
- Participate in and manage onsite operations.
- Confirm all equipment and test tools are on site to start activities as per commissioning program (all with valid calibration certificate for at least one year).
- Confirm that the approved relay setting and approved schematic drawings are at site (last revision).
- Factory test results, approved test procedures and test sheets should be checked by the commissioning engineer on site.
- Produce the final commissioning test report.
- Carryout the role of Commissioning Manager with the project team to strategically plan and prepare timely commissioning activities in line with the project programme
- Ensuring that the key deliverables within each stage of the commissioning is being administered to the highest quality.
- Ensuring allocated project deliverables and KPI`s - KPM`s are collaboratively achieved
- Work closely with the client and the client team through final commissioning & handover.
- Scheduling and coordinating work to tight deadlines.
- Ensuring that equipment works to its specification.
- Creating and carrying out test procedures.
- Investigating problems and diagnosing and repairing faults including troubleshooting.
- Writing reports and documentation including test plans and forms, SAT test criteria and data required for review.

- An industry applicable qualification
- Water Industry knowledge is essential to be considered for this role
- A clear demonstrated understanding or process technology
- Strong knowledge in Elec, Mech and or ICA including instrumentation and automation
- Organised, structured and professional, with a passion for excellence
- Flexibility, resilience and the ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
- Experience in a fast paced, national and multi-site business
