- We are working with a very busy and reputable Engineering Consultancy that are looking for a dedicated and innovative Senior Structural Engineer to join their growing Building Structures department. As well as offering a diverse portfolio of high-profile projects, this company can offer great benefits and flexibility.
Main responsibilities:
- Manage projects from concept to completion, ensuring quality work within budget
- Act as lead or sole designer on specific projects
- Undertake scheme and detailed design on individual projects - includes the preparation of detailed design calculations, checking drawings and other deliverables.
- Liaise with members of the design and construction team
- Mentor Junior Engineers and Technicians
- Team development, work winning and client management
The ideal candidate will:
- Hold a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
- Have at least 5 years of design experience on building structures projects (in the UK)
- Competent designer in Structural Steelwork, reinforced concrete, masonry and timber
Desirable:
- Chartered Engineer (ICE or IStructE)
- Experience leading and managing Structural Projects
- Proficient in the use of analysis and design software
