Flight Software Engineer (contract)

Alexander Associates are working with an innovative, rapidly growing scale up company within the space sector who are seeking a skilled and experienced Flight Software Engineer to join their team in Oxfordshire.

The successful candidate will play a vital part in driving forward the missions and help make space sustainable for future generations.

Responsibilities of the Flight Software Engineer:

  • Input to the Software ICD.
  • Input to the Detailed Design Documents for the Onboard Computer Flight Software.
  • Internal reviews of detailed software designs.
  • Input to test plans and V&V Documentation.

Essential Skills for the Flight Software Engineer

  • Experience as a Flight Software / Embedded Software Engineer.
  • Experience of working in the space industry.
  • Experience developing software for real-time embedded systems (C).
  • Knowledge of software development methodologies.
